Check our volunteer opportunities page to find a current opportunity that interests you.
Each volunteer opportunity will have a role description that includes:
- key responsibilities
- minimum age
- time commitment
- if any experience is necessary
Screening process
There’s a different screening process for each opportunity. During this process, we’ll look at the information you gave us and compare it to what the role needs.
The screening process may include:
- application form
- Interview
- reference and/or police records check
Information for parents
We ask that your child take the initiative to contact us about volunteering. This will help them build their self-confidence and develop a meaningful relationship with their volunteer placement supervisor.
Generally, volunteers must be older than 14 years old. In some cases, volunteers can be 12 years old.
You can help your child by:
- reviewing and discussing volunteer opportunities with them
- helping your child fill out the application form
- helping them prepare for the intake process
- understanding their volunteer role and expectations of them
- reviewing the waiver, oath, and safety statements that are part of the application form and providing consent
- supporting your child's volunteer commitment
